Business Manager

Represent Evonik Animal Nutrition (AN) business unit in the respective protein markets and actively manage the customer interface by developing contacts at multiple levels.  Implement the strategic positioning of Nutrition and Care products and services within the NA region.  Support price and volume sales targets by identifying customer needs and applying appropriate commercial and technical value-added tools to support defined sales goals and objectives.   Research, manage and coordinate technical and sales initiatives to support the team strategy. Proactively participate in individual and group "non-sales" activities to promote positive reinforcement of corporate initiatives.   RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Excellence / IMPAX - Understanding customer's commercial and technical needs and opportunities (research, communicate, present). Pricing - Studying and understanding the feed additives markets and proposing prices that are in line with the market and with Evonik's profit targets.  Provide accurate and reliable market information. Account Planning - Developing and implementing plans for focus customers, including but not limited to the coordination of Technical Services as needed. Budgeting and Forecasting - Accurately budgeting, forecasting and updating all account activities to ensure products and resources are available in order to achieve sales targets updated as needed.  Keeping all customer information databases up to date (e.g. MAC). Project Support - Participate in and lead various project teams to support the advancement of the business line's value selling initiatives. Targets - Work effectively within the sales and marketing teams to achieve sales and technical targets and the strategic goals of Evonik. Compliance - Establish and maintain Evonik's leading position in the market by conducting business according to Evonik Vision/Mission and corporate compliance standards. Travel - Reading, understanding, and complying with all Evonik travel and expense policies. Safety - Responsible and accountable for maintaining safe work activities, in accordance with Evonik's policies.   REQUIREMENTS 50% Travel 4 Year College Degree Minimum 5 years of experience with solutions-based sales processes. Demonstrates clear understanding of customer base, needs, and opportunities. Experience in budgeting and managing available resources to achieve sales targets. Accuracy in forecasting and demand models. Ability to provide accurate competitive information through available information platforms. Ability to manage and prioritize time appropriately. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
